Opening of the exhibition of the Durer Group

The 16th of May Radar Architecture&Art will inaugurate the sculpture exhibition of the Italian artists group Durer, entitled ‘Ten Commitments a.k.a. Beat Hans Tour’.

Radar is very proud to invite you to the opening on Saturday, the 16th of May from 16:00 until 18:00 in the Eerste Rozendwarsstraat 17hs in Amsterdam, where the Durer Group will be anonymously present.

Ten Commitments a.k.a. Beat Hans Tour proposes itself as a spiritual reconsideration of a historical practice. Little Hans is taken as a symbol of the sins of the fathers, that inevitably and cyclically is put upon the sons. The program of Durer wants to reconsider the problem of the connection between the concept of sacredness and the view of the contemporary observer.

Durer is a program of defence, that aims to build a place in which anyone can take peaceful residence. The defensive character has to be understood as the attitude of the place itself to protect the efforts of who lives in it. In this world ruled by invisible laws of economic gravity, the commitments proposed by Durer reproach us for our seriousness. These commitments are not an order but a question. The temporal origin of Durer can not be specified: it is a consequential occurrence. A coming from. Durer products should be considered as key to the place of defence.

During the opening, you can watch us in live streaming on this blog.

Vernissage of "Rising out of chaos" by Marcel Ozymantra

Radar has the honor to invite you to the vernissage of the second exhibition "Rising out of chaos", on Saturday, 7 February from 16:00 until 18:00 in the Eerste Rozendwarstraat 17hs in Amsterdam, where the artist will be present.

Marcel Ozymantra seduces his audience with colour, to overpower with his painterly language. It leaves the audience to investigate how much space there is for chaos and the way this influences and controls our lives. This neo-modernist is not trying to convince the audience that there is an ultimate art or future, he tries to invoke the trust that art can be used as a power to create order. The names of the paintings resemble song titles by which he takes the audience on a rocky road.
